Mutawintjti Day Tour (Departing Monday – choice of tour #1)

Mutawintji National Park will stimulate all of your senses from the fresh air, to the cultural learning experience. Nestled within the rugged Byngnano Ranges and with its stunning gorges and creeks lined with majestic River Red Gums, is certainly a place to visit. We will stop for morning tea in the shade of a dry creek bed lined with majestic red gums along the way before arriving into Mutawintji Historical Site, only accessible by Mutawintji Tours Guides partnered with our tours, so you will get your very own experienced guide. This area was used for ceremonies and initiations.

Listen to Kullawarra’s Dreamtime story about Mutawintji’s creation. Then we go on interpretive bush walks to the sites of the Engravings and Stencils. A picnic lunch is served before we start heading back to Broken Hill. This tour begins at 8 am and is back in town by 4.30pm.

In the evening, enjoy Happy Hour around the campfire followed by a relaxing dinner at your leisure.

Broken Hill and Silverton Half Day Tours (Departing Tuesdays & Thursdays – included)

We’ll take you on a guided journey through the historic town of Broken Hill. You’ll learn about the town’s rich mining heritage, visit the iconic Silver City Mint, and stroll through the quaint streets lined with charming cafes and shops. You’ll also visit the historic Palace Hotel, which served as the filming location for the popular movie “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert”. You will be taken to places you wouldn’t find unless told by a guide or local. You’ll also visit the Living Desert Sculptures, a captivating display of 12 sculptures set amidst the rugged terrain.

In the afternoon at 1pm we will head out towards Silverton, where you’ll explore the natural wonders of the region by visiting the sprawling Mundi Mundi Plains, where you can take in stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Learn about the native flora and fauna of the region and the important role these sculptures play in preserving them. Travel in a luxury 12-seater bus, and have your own professional guide to take you around.

In the evening, enjoy Happy Hour around the campfire at our Broken Hill caravan park, followed by a relaxing dinner at your leisure.

Menindee Day Tour (Departing Wednesday – choice of tour #2)

Discover breathtaking Menindee Lakes and the historic Kinchega National Park. There are numerous photo opportunities as you spend a relaxing day exploring the area. Homemade morning tea is served on the shores of Lake Pamamaroo before we embark on a Wetlands Cruise on the “River Lady” (weather permitting). Discover and learn about the magnificent lake system, which is larger than Sydney Harbour. As we approach the historic woolshed, we may see kangaroos, emus, and a variety of birdlife as we follow in the footsteps of Burke and Wills. Follow the Darling River through massive Red Gum stands to Menindee township, where you’ll learn about the area’s fascinating pastoral and Aboriginal history.

In the evening, enjoy Happy Hour around the campfire at our caravan park in Broken Hill, followed by a relaxing dinner at your leisure.
